Speedy swimming

Just a quick one this week, I just had to tell everyone!

I've had a really good boost to my swimming recently, some might say a breakthrough. The last few weeks have seen a big increase in pace, I even put in a 1:16 100 as part of a broken 200 (100/50/50) this morning, a first for me. Now I just need to make it stick.

Coincidently, I came across this video from swim smooth in Australia and some of it struck a chord with my swimming

There is one thing that stands out from this video with regards my swimming, the phrase 'very, very, rhythmical indeed'. I think I have found a new improved rhythm with my swim and with this the ability to maintain an increased arm turnover.

Have a look and see what you can take away from it.

1:16 - Lightning! Strangely I had a great swim session today too and I also noticed rhythm to be a factor.
