A little blog about being a triathlon coach. Here you'll find a little diary about my activities as a coach, the performances of the people I work with and my thoughts and opinions on what makes athletes faster for longer.

Another top weekend of results.

With so many athletes racing it's becoming all a little much for the small space on my website ( so I've decided to start putting athlete results here.

Another fantastic weekend for Endurance Sports Coaching Athletes. Where do we start?

Richard Greaves performed strongly to pick up a podium position in Bei Dai He standard distance triathlon. It's all part of the big build up to the 70.3 World Championships in Clearwater later this year.

Nick Vaughan and James Cross wrap up great seasons with performances at Helvellyn Triathlon. Now onto a bit of down time before looking ahead to another season of PB's next year?

Saturday saw the Vitruvian middle distance race at Rutland Water in Leicestershire. Eddie Charlton-Weedy put a hard week of Hawaii training behind him to finish 5th overall in a time of 3:59. Sam Hayward thinks she has found her distance by finishing 6th female and Chrissie Waple stormed the bike leg in 2:33 as part of an excellently executed race. For both Sam and Chrissie this was their first middle distance race so to produce results of this standard shows what great dedication and effort they have put into their training. Chrissie's off for a well earned break while Sam plans to drop down to standard distance for the Age-group World Champs next weekend before picking up the training in the build up to what I think is her distance [;-)] at Ironman Western Australia in December.

In Paratriathlon news: Dave Cooke put in a good performance despite difficult damp conditions at Bristol Half Marathon and Tom Perkins picked up a Bronze medal at the Para-Duathlon World Championships in Edinburgh.

Great work team!
