Do you experience back pain from cycling?

Weak muscles are often at the root of back pain and specific muscle at that, this series of articles guides you through what I have found when working with my clients to be the best 3 exercises to over come lower back pain.
First lets look at the area in question, lower back pain comes in the part of the back between the bottom of the ribs and top of the legs and most of the muscles in this area surround and support the spine.
Our body will do everything it can to protect the spine, if you lift something incorrectly or too heavy your body will let you know with sharp pain. One key to overcoming and eliminating lower back pain is to strengthen muscles supporting and surrounding the spine.
The muscles of the back, the abdomen, and the buttocks all support the spine these muscles are called the core muscles and it is these we want to strengthen.
Exercise number 1 to overcome and eliminate back pain; The Deadlift.

This is a very technical exercise and when done correctly will strengthen every single muscle of your core and more. Plus it is a very functional exercise and by that I mean it is how we are to lift.
Not only are you strengthening all the muscles of the core you are also strengthen and learning the correct lifting movement.
Some may say this is too advanced for most gym goers but in my experience with the right teaching anyone can master this incredible exercise and live a pain free life!
