Pyrenees Crosstrainer
No shortage of training opportunities here in the Hautes Pyrenees. Now I have plenty of time to train I wonder how I competed and trained for all the triathlons from 1986 onwards with a job to do as well.
So I must focus on what works best and race as and when I can.

Blagnac/Toulouse 10k

Fast flat course in blue sky & sunshine but cool temps. Started fast but just outside my target at 5km. Dug in thro a short bad patch and checked at 8k, just outside aim so pushed hard from 9k and sprinted thro the last 100m to finish 1-05secs faster than Pau 4 weeks ago. Then John told me the course was 110m long so that brought me closer to 45m and to my aim of 44-30. 6/49 V3 and 292/1115.

Total: 5h:06m

Swim 20min 1km (7%) Run 3h:36m 43km (71%) Weights 1h:10m (23%)

"If God invented marathons to stop people from doing anything more stupid then triathlons must have taken Him completely by surprise!"
