Pyrenees Crosstrainer
Pyrenees Crosstrainer
No shortage of training opportunities here in the Hautes Pyrenees. Now I have plenty of time to train I wonder how I competed and trained for all the triathlons from 1986 onwards with a job to do as well.
So I must focus on what works best and race as and when I can.

First Race 2011

Spring has arrived for a week at least and its 16C just the job to stretch the legs and see where we are on the 6th Feb which is a lot earlier than my races start. Saw this race and fancied it more than the one at the summit of the Hautacam. Very pleased with my effort as I ran a negative split, held the speed to the end and beat a french age group rival on the run in with 400metres to go. He came over after and said bon fini!!!(good finish) which I thought was very friendly. After we got a nylon gilet instead of a t-shirt which will be useful for the spring.
Race time was inside my prediction as I came away with 46-51. 5th Vet 3 and 198th out of 280.
