My First Ironman
I decided to do the 2013 Ironman Louisville as my first long course race. This blog serves as my diary to capture training highlights and struggles along the way. Race day is 25 Aug 13.

Based on my experience at the half-iron distance and borrowing liberally from Don Fink's "Be Iron Fit", I have developed a 30 week training program to get me to Louisville.

Week 11 - 8 Apr

Mon - rest day; still recovering from the half marathon; overall, feeling pretty good
Tues - 2200 yd swim; 3 mi run - still recovering from the race, tired legs
Wed - 45 min spin
Thurs - 2300 yd swim, 4 mi run on treadmill (rain)
Fri - 45 min spin
Sat - 11 mi run, still feeling the race. Off to Wynne's Blackbelt test...woohoo!
Sun - 33 mi bike, first time outside; hills were a bitch but powered up Plum Hill and Shilo Station
