My Tri-BlogI need structure.
I have been training sporadically for triathlon and related events for a year or so. In 2010 I competed the 4 Thames Turbo sprint triathlons in their race series, the Hell of the Ashdown sportive organised by Catford Cycling Club, a few Innovation Sports Clapham Common 10km runs and the 3.6km Nokia Thames swim. This year I have so far competed in 3 Thames Turbo sprints, the GE Blenheim Triathlon, Hell of the Ashdown, and a couple of 10km races - there are more races to come including my first Olympic distance triathlon at the Virgin London Triathlon at the end of July. I want to get faster, I want to race longer and harder, and I want to perform at my best. There are barriers to that, not least of which for me are structure in my training, alcohol consumption, and scheduling. This blog is going to help me organise myself, my experiments, and my race reports. It's primarily for me, so I can look back on what has worked and what hasn't worked, but if it helps someone else prepare or learn from my mistakes then that's great. Oh, I'm also thinking about entering Ironman Wales in 2012. This is why I need some structure now :) | Previous posts Previously » July 2011 (2) » June 2011 (2) Cloud 10k british 10k drills garmin ironman ironman 70.3 lido mass participation open water race report running swimming training triathlon wet suit wimbleball Welcome to TriBlogs the free online training solution.Plan, record, analyse and share your triathlon experiences.
