Reborn triathlete
After 12 years of abstinence from this truly wonderful sport, I have eventually succumbed to it's beauty, enjoyment and overall fitness.

I used to race sprints when living in South Africa, and having recently moved to the UK I have rediscovered my passion for this sport.

I am now concentrating on Olympic distances for the next coming year and thereafter moving up to standard and ultimately striving for Kona either in 2011 or 2012.

New toys

Well now.......

I have been musing the web for a few months looking for the elusive carbon frame-set and forks that would ultimately put me on a similar starting ground as most of the seasoned triathletes and make me feel like one of them....obviously without breaking the bank too......

My new carbon frame-set and forks arrived today....what a gorgeous looking thing she is....

Although the season is coming to a close, there is nothing stopping me from using my age old steel raleigh bike for day to day commuting (which is from home to the station and then from the station to the office and of course return), and getting in some training, but now I can use the new bike for the Friday cycle which is all the way from Crawley to London return (64 miles in total) and of course the long cycles on the weekend.......again this is all weather permitting of course as I really do not want to mess up the new bike......

However, now the wheels (excuse the pun) are turning for the 2010 season training to begin in January using Joe Friel's expertise and diary and up until then only concentrating on core training until then and enjoying the open air etc.....

Roll on 2010 season....I am a coming.....
