It has been a challenge this week to get the hours in. Treadmills bore me to death, but unfortunately that is the only option here. I am working in Turkey at the moment and I am not sure it is particularly well advised to go running out and about around the streets of Istanbul!

A couple of days illness at the beginning of the week - I think due to the travelling and the air-con on the plane. I have been trying to get in the gym twice a day for half an hour, which seems to be working out. I need to try and find some treadmill sessions. I have some roughly in mind from reading a past issue of 220 Magazine so will try and use those this week.

The concentration over the last week and the coming two is going to be on running. As you can see there has been a small amount of cycling, and was just because the treadmills were in use by other people.

Plan for next week should be 7 hours running, 45 mins Mon, 45 mins Morn/Eve Tues/Wed/Thurs and 45 mins Fri Morning. Long Run on Sunday as at least 60 mins.

It has been a good trip so far, other than the work. Saturday was a sightseeing day starting with a bus tour then walking from Taxim Square, through the spice market, and through the Grand Bazaar (the largest covered market in the World with 8000 individual stalls) then to the old city cistern (reservoir) and the Blue Mosque before walking back to Taxim Square.
