For various reasons, I won't be able to cycle as much as I would like over the coming months. I have therefore decided to improve my running and my general experience of running by targeting the Edinburgh Marathon next year.

I have found some training plans on t'internet and I have used these as a basis for my training plan.

I have just completed week one of the plan, going well. It is currently 3 shorter easy runs in the week and a long run at the weekend (although missed this week). I also have a 'hard core' workout for core stability, which I am completing at least twice per week.

Mixing it up a bit when I am in Liverpool by heading along to the local Tri club for their swimming sessions.

I need to decide on a target time, based on my past race results, there is a website that predicts I could do 3:12:00. Which is as good as any, but I am not holding much hope for accuracy, and the target time is flexible based on further time trials and practice races.

Next race is VOTwo Long swim at Dorney Lake, then the HSBC Sprint Triathlon the following week, again at Dorney.

NB. having missed a few posts, and using the last 7 days function for the data attachment I missed last Monday's training from the stats: 30 min easy run and 30 mins Core.
