weekly postTag search: weekly post (Close) Post of the Week With less than two weeks to go to the Edinburgh Marathon, and everytime I run seeming to have ridiculously tight lower legs. I think I have isolated it to where I think the problem lies. Trouble is, when I run it seems to transfer to the front of my... Post of the Week It has been a good week for exercise this week.
I have got in a good few miles, and I feel OK for it. I have made sure I have plenty of rest time which has paid off. Did suffer a little from some shinsplints on Friday, but nothing a quick kick a... Post of the Week I am trying to return to my previous blogging-ness. So the posts of the week are back.
I have arrived after a surprisingly quick hop on a small turbo-prop to Duesseldorf, a very pleasant city. I have realised however, that having had a custom ma... Post of the Week
I managed to get to the pool, whoop! Unfortunately off travelling again for the next few weeks. :-(
I need a better job! lol... Post of the Week Being busy and laziness continues.... Bah!
I am going to have to break this downwards spiral before its too late!... Post of the Week I have been so busy, and partly lazy I have been very tardy from training still. I think it was my work trip away with the funny work hours, which has got me out of the habit of training. Darn work!
I have been doing some skipping, but that is n... Post of the Week I have been bad, nil training this week. Work pressures and timezone working is wierd on the body!... Post of the Week To record training time. Sorry, not much to say today!... Post of the Week & Photos Photos from HSBC Triathlon are now in!

Yesterday was the final VO Two Long swim, having not swum for a while I am happy with the time of 53:44, 50s slower than South Cerney.
Looking forward to next week, HSBC Triathlon.... Post of the Week
I have been a bit naughty this week and not done my core work out. I had some good runs though, which has made up for it.
A particularly nice run on Saturday with housemate, 10k course along the Wirral coast.... Post of the Week For various reasons, I won't be able to cycle as much as I would like over the coming months. I have therefore decided to improve my running and my general experience of running by targeting the Edinburgh Marathon next year.
I have found some tra... Post of the Week
Well, back in the office for one day after a great weekend in Liverpool. Went to see a show called 'The Hypochondriac' by Moliere. Was very funny and would recommend, 4 out of 5 *'s!
Tomorrow will be a bit of a panic day. Making sure I am rea... Post of the Week
Maximal HR test was postponed from last week so is going to be tonight or Thursday.
Now then, following my interesting week last week including falling down the stairs, I had my mamouth weekend of events.
The Sun Run, a scout event, was on Sa... Post of the Week
I found it hard to get motivated last week, not sure why. I feel better this week.
Basically all swimming for the past week, with I suppose some impromtu hill sets on saturday running after scouts that can't read maps!

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear!
What a poor training week. I was in London again last week and away for the weekend on a driving holiday in Scotland. There were some awesome roads up there though so may be a need for a visit with the bike in the f... Post of the Week
An easy week last week, and limited again due to work. A good ride on Friday night with the guys from Thornbury Running Club, when I caught up with them. I am having some issues with punctures, and inner tubes. I am starting to wonder if it is m... Post of the Week I would currently love to be posting a great little report here about how I nailed Blenheim, but alas it is not to be. I stood by the car with my kit and considered what I will be taking with me. I did not forget to take my bike to transition, but ... Post of the week It is 6 days to go until my first proper triathlon at Blenheim Palace. I am doing the sprint tri, 750m/19.3km/5.2km. I am not sure how I will do, but I have looked at the results from last year and I am aiming for 1:20:00, split as 10 mins/38 mins/... Post of the week Weekly post for posting training times.
I went out with a cycle group on Friday night from Thornbury Running Club. It was a good little jaunt and was refreshing to see the improvement in my cycling ability. I managed to almost keep up with the fa... Post of the week Just a quick one, not really got much to say today. I know I should have done more last week in terms of training, I have a week at home and know I should get out cycling - things take over people to see things to do. I try to fit too much in durin... Post of the week It has been a good week this week. I was out on the bike on Saturday and went back to the hill I was taken on when I first went out on the bike (the one where I fell off, rather embarrassingly!). I managed to get to the top, which is progress and s... Post of the week A week of only running this week, found a nice route up to Tower Bridge and back, which makes for a nice distance of just over 5 miles.
Plan for this week is to use the same route a few times and I am heading back into Bristol on Thursday night fo... Post of the week Yet again, due to travel commitments for work, only a short week for training. It is a good job I am not planning on doing an Iron Man!
It is going to be a run focussed week this week. I am staying in London all week so there will plenty of oppo... Post of the week It has been a good week this week, although not from training!
Raced yesterday at the final Tewkesbury Aquathlon. I managed to convince my parents to come along and see what it was all about. It was an encouraging run, only just off my 20min 5k ... Post of the week The weekend was awesome!
The weather was almost perfect, caught up with old friends and made some new ones too. Got some cycling in around the lake district on Good Friday. There was some running in there too for the activities over the weekend. ... Post of the week Well, my post of the week.
I have now caught up with the training diary an all of the training camp action has been recorded...phew!
I am now home from the BAD Tri training camp. A great big thank you to all those who organised/followed in the... Post of the week Sorry for the slightly belated post for this week, being posted on 6 April, but just for completeness, my training times for the last week.
Just logged on after the Training Camp. I have 31 actions required in the diary. Best get to it....... Post of the Week I think training and overseas working don't go together. You end up rushing to get on the treadmill, then there are none available. You do your session and you don't really have enough time to stretch....
Anyway, in absence of treadmill training... Post of the Week It has been a challenge this week to get the hours in. Treadmills bore me to death, but unfortunately that is the only option here. I am working in Turkey at the moment and I am not sure it is particularly well advised to go running out and about a... Post of the Week
Only a quick weekly post this week. I have got some good bike time in this week partly due to the mammouth ride on Saturday - 62 miles! When it was suggested, I kind of thought I would bomb half way round. The person I was with admitted he was e...
