So, I am a swimmer turned triathlete!

Swimming is obviously ok, biking not too bad but needs some strength work, running is my kryptonite!

Post of the Week

So, another week down - it is another disappointing one for the training time, but this is because I have once again been travelling back and forth to London. I will be sure to try and get my training plan sorted for when I am working in London again. Thinking about it now, if I am working in the main office the hotel I will be staying in will have better gym facilities and I can get to a spinning class on a couple of nights a week.

Well the results of the Chilly are in. I am happy with my performance although not blistering by any stretch of the imagination! Total time of 55:13, a reduction of 5:23 from the November race and placing me 67 of 197.

The first run was encouraging in a time of 12:49 for the 2 miles. I think if I could hold that pace then the target of a sub-20min 5k is not that unrealistic this year. Bike improved by a couple of minutes with fairly consistent lap times to a total time of 27:22, with my fastest lap being 5:17. Isn't it depressing though when you see people fly by on their speed machines - probably those putting in the laps that are over a minute faster. The lap record I believe was taken this weekend by Lee Piercy in a time of 4:08 - wow!

I don't think my time is too bad on my trusty steed - Claud Butler San Remo all the way, baby!

So, training times for this week below. This week will be quite busy, getting ready to go away with work, tidying the flat, packing bike for spain, put up new curtains,... I am sure I will think of plenty more. I should be upping my bike mileage this week compared to others, I am going to cycle to swimming sessions. This could be good, or just plain stupid I have not decided yet.
