Hello I am a former swimmer (about 15 years ago) turned Triathlete. Got into Triathlon in spring 08, as part of a get fit campaign trained hard all winter. Instantly got the bug & now starting to enter events.

Just a quickie to say, i think my swim coach is the Hitler reborn!..

He absolutley beasted us last night in the pool. nice easy lengthy warm up, lots of drills etc... then hit us with the lactic acid removal set of:

10x50m Flat out - off 60 secs.

200m active recovery

Then did it again!!! now i know what your are thinking, the distance isnt that great. But let me tell you this hurts.....alot. people were cramping up, wanting to throw up etc... I was quite pleased with the first 5 coming in around the 32-33 seconds mark...but then i steadily slowed to averaging around 35-36 secs...

This is a good test for anyone who wants to try it, excellent for getting your heart rate up to max. Just finished the set with some aerobic swimming.

Hopefully going to get out on the bike today, but its hooning it down outside. At the lake sunday morn for a nice long swim.

I am not sure, it is looking unlikely. It is currently my plan to move to Liverpool in August, so I think I need to settle myself in there. You doing it?

Just had a read of your post here. How does 10 x 100 Fr Max off 2mins (tonights set) sound to you?!

10x100,s does not sound very pleasant, off 2 mins tho seems ok getting a good 40-45 seconds rest. but after 5 i think it will defo start to hurt. I think i am going to do the hardwick, got to check the dates with the wife make sure nothing else is going on. Have you done any of the long swim series yet?
