After signing up for the Cotswold Classic Middle (half iron) Distance event and with only 11 weeks to go...best start training!!

Day 6

A new week and indeed the first full week of training...so what’s on the cards...

Monday - R: 7km tempo run; S: 1500 lake swim
Tuesday - R: 1000m wu, 4 x 800m @ 12.6kph, 1000m cd
Wednesday - S: 1500m (lake or pool; R: 10km recovery run
Thursday - B: 3hrs moderate
Friday - Stretch/strength/ conditioning
Saturday - B:3hrs moderate
Sunday - REST

Tempo run went amazingly well and it was a hard effort for both of us, but felt strong and its amazing the effect already of having done a strint set on the treadmill last week. A big push for both of us, but felt rewarded at the end - pretty evenly paced running buddies :)

Lake swim was a mixed bag with Heidi swimming strong andme bailing at the first bouy with cramp - still I made myself useful and my early exit from the lake meant I got the teas in!! Great effort Heidi!
