Aberystwyth TriathlonPhew, this organising and marshalling malarky is much harder than racing. Started the day at 5am putting out signs etc, sorting out swim buoys and everything else that is needed for a successful triathlon. It was the first ever Aberystwyth Triathlon so we wanted to get it right but there was lots to do.
It all seemed to go well though, there are of course a few little tweaks that will be made ready for next year but it was supposed to be a learning process. Once things were under way I was even able to take a load of photos as well. You can see them here: Aberystwyth Seaside Triathlon Photos. I've come away from it more exhausted than if I'd been racing and with a stinking cold... I think I'll compete next year!! IN fact, I feel the same as if I had raced just without quite the same sense of achievement - All I want to do is eat and sleep though so that's the same as well. | My next race
Previous posts My Links Introduction Although I'd love to, I won't have time to blog here too often, but I do keep a regular blog all about my Triathlon (and other) exploits here:
http://www.alananna.co.uk I'm a born again Triathlete, having done a few races in my teens, I stopped doing any sort of training for over 20 years and then started again in 2011 when I was 40. I had fun doing them and didn't do too badly, so I'm once again on the way to being able to call myself a 'Triathlete'. The blog above contains plenty of training tips, notes on any particularly exciting training sessions or those of note and my race schedules and reports. It also contains lots of other things too, all about living a 'Simple Life of Luxury' here in West Wales where we spend our time swimming, cycling, running, MTBig, windsurfing, surfing, gardening, beekeeping, watching the sky at night and many many other things - I hope you enjoy it.
