ITU Age-Group World Champs Qualification

justalby justalMay 30th 2012
Yeeeesssss! Q1, Big Cow - get in there, Auckland here I come.

I know, I know, 'it's only Age-Group' but I'm pretty stoked. I've been working hard for this, I've just checked the BTF website and there's a 'Q1' next to my name - Little old me has qualified for the ITU Age-Group World Championships in Auckland later this year. Yep, I'm feeling pretty pleased with myself at the moment.

Click here for my full ITU Age-Group World Championship Qualification story. You never know, it might give you some ideas and you too could be coming to Auckland.

Hello, all went well thanks.

Full report is here at the mo: http://www.alananna.co.uk/blog/2012/2012-itu-age-group-world-triathlon-championships-auckland-race-report/

I'll post on Triblogs soon as well but won't have much Internet in the camper van. The short version of the race report is swim, big T1, bike, big T2, run.... Finished 11th and 2nd Brit so should have pre-qualified for London 2013 world champs.

Now eating LOADS and enjoying a few weeks downtime before starting all over again ready for next year.

Good work Al, 2nd Brit that's impressive! One better next year maybe?? ;-) Hope you've got some time to explore NZ whilst you're there!

Cheers,
Back from NZ now and we did have some to explore. The race preparations, racing and travel logs will be added to my blog over the next few days:

I even got to race a road race around Lake Rotorua on my road bike while I was out there... Which came down to a photo finish with 0.03 secs separating first and second place - I was one of them though! :)
