Training - Week 13

katywalkerby katywalkerJan 20th 2013
This week was a little sporadic! Lost a bit of my mojo┬... Coupled with bad blisters from my long run the prevous Sunday, running training took a bit of a rest┬... as did swimming┬...as did cycling. A bad week!!

Monday - REST (aka general laziness! Far be it from me to deceive the blogging community and suggest this was a planned rest day! ;) )

Tuesday ┬- Weights (leg press and squats)

Wednesday - REST (aka general laziness)

Thursday ┬- 40 min easy run

Friday - REST (aka general laziness)

Last Saturday saw me doing the F3 Events 10km Trail Run. I had 15km in the training schedule for that day, so I rocked up early and did a few laps of the site before the race to bump up the mileage! I took a bit of a wet and muddy tumble half way round the first lap, but no harm done ┬- in fact it was rather funny ;-) Finished in 52:53, 5th out of 17 in my age category and 30th out of 60. Average speed was 11.4kmh┬... which, for such a hard muddy course, bodes well for Wokingham Half in a few week┬'s time where I want to average 11.5kmh

Last Sunday I did a 90 min endurance spin class:

4 x 4min @ level 11; 100 cadence
2 x 3min @ level 11; 100 cadence
4 x 2min @ level 11; 100 cadence
42min @ level 11-15 ┬'Alt d Huez┬' simulated climb

Brilliant class - LOVED IT!!
