Training - Week 19

Well, what the hell happened to weeks 16-18!??

After Wokingham and the 15 weeks of training leading up to it, there had to be a dip I guess...ItĀ's not as if IĀ've been bone idle in the past few weeks, but fair to say that my training was sporadic at best and IĀ've been ticking over as opposed to actively pursuing improvement...

But itĀ's Tuesday 5 March and itĀ's the hottest day of the year so far, the sun is shining and what better motivation is there than that?

Unfortunately Ā'thingsĀ' have arisen which means I will be out of action for 6 weeks or so (starting 23 April) which pretty much kills the start of the triathlon seasonĀ...and will have to pull out of Majorca 70.3, but all is not lost.

I have decided to keep ticking over on the bike Ā- ride for pleasure (including spinning) and really focus on the running and build distance in the swim...

So the 2013 events list looks like this:
  • 7 April Paddock Wood Half Marathon (entered)
  • 13 April New Forest Cycle Sportive (entered)
  • 23 June Bristol Harbour Tri (entered)
  • 7 July Milton Keynes Half Marathon (yet to enter)
  • 13 July Bananaman Tri (yet to enter)
  • 18 August 5km river swim/ Club Champs Tri - F3 Events (entered)
  • 1 September Full Boar Wild Boar Middle Distance Tri (entered)
  • Need somethnig in here...?
  • 6 October Bournemouth Half Marathon (entered)
  • 10 November Poppy Half Marathon - Bexhill-on-Sea (entered)

Training this week:

  • Monday - Club Swim
  • Tuesday - Running Intervals; Spinning (pm)
  • Wednesday - Spinning (pm)
  • Thursday - Running Tempo; Club Swim
  • Friday - Running recovery; Swim (pm)
  • Saturday: Long steady run - 15km
  • Sunday - 90 min Spinning(am); Swimming (pm)
