Maintaining the life-training balance
Maintaining the life-training balance
This blog hopes to focus on the "life" side of the training-life balance that anyone training for triathlon will know can be difficult to juggle. No one really cares what interval set I ran today and how high my heart rate got so I won't try and impress anyone with those stats. Stats make the world go round though so for those who are interested I will have Garmin data available for each training session, most stats i throw around on a saturday night are made up, sadly thats not an option with the garmin so you can be assured at least that aspect of this blog will be honest.

NoRestDays Day 6 - Boobies!

malcolmclelandby malcolmclelandOct 7th 2012
Parental Guidance Recommended. Sorry to let you down, but this post has absolutely nothing to do with boobies. If you┬'ve stumbled across this blog because you searched ┬"boobies┬" on google and choose this link out of the 38,900,000 others it finds then I┬'ve probably ruined your evening. The phrase boobies relates to the hill repeats I did on today┬'s ride and how the elevation profile resembles.... well yea, I'll your imagination do the rest.
NoRestDays Day 6 - Boobies!
The only reason I did a repeat of that hill was so I could write about "boobies", it┬'s amazing where you can find motivation from when you┬'re really suffering. I won┬'t go into details but suffice to say the weather was ┬"tits up┬" to use another anatomy related phrase. Day 6 was a session in the hills surrounding Manawatu, 90km and 3 and a half hours later I was stoked to arrive home to a roaring fire.

After my ride I met up with my flatmates who had also ventured north for the weekend to support the mighty Manawatu Turbos defeat Hawkes Bay. As a flat we know that google can convince you of anything, but just because it┬'s on the internet doesn┬'t mean it┬'s true. If you┬'re looking for a source of dubious facts and figures then it┬'s the place to go though, just ask Andy who has stats on everything, a real must have for Saturday night chat when on the town in Palmy as the lads were to find out.
