A positive end to a mediocre week

Having found Triblogs and ventured into my own blog I was all fired up for a fantastic week. Sadly, by Friday I was in so much pain I took to my bed. However, that is now passed as today I recorded my best ever time for a 5 mile race. I believe I could have pushed for a faster time but was still protecting myself from the pain of the week. I don't want to sound like a total misery, as I'm not, it's just a fact of life that sometimes I get pain and that does affect my life and my training. As a consequence a chunk of my plan has gone out of the window this week. But I had entered a race and race I would, and as I started to make my way around the course I realised it didn't hurt and that I did actually feel really good and so today I could push myself that bit harder. A friend provided me with a good analogy for missed training sessions. For that session I had got off the bike and was just sitting on the curb for a rest - waiting for the time when I felt well enough to get back on and carry on my way. Days like today make me realise that it's not so bad being an endo girl and that I will achieve my goals.

Good for you, I managed to drag myself out of bed this morning and to the gym for a spin session, it was in my plan so I always try to do it but I'm not a fan of cycling in the rain! Felt much better afterwards, hope you did too.
