Sharing my experiences in training, racing and learning the 'science' of progressing in Triathlon - from total novice to top-ten finisher (and hopefully beyond!). Stop by to listen to what I have to say, but don't forget, the whole point of web 2.0 is interaction, so don't be afraid or too shy to leave your own thoughts!

This week I have mostly been...

And like most men, I don't do "ill" very well. Just a bl**dy stupid seasonal cold, but one that has now totally outstayed its welcome and really should just bugger off. I've been a good boy and done no training or exercise whatsoever for four days (unheard of for me) but still the damned bug shows no signs of shifting.

Am not sure whether the cold has been caused by over-training / fatigue or whether perhaps I picked up a bug somewhere, but either way I am hoping that I will be alright for the Nokia Thames Swim this Sunday and the London Triathlon next weekend.

I might try an easy spin on the turbo later, just to make it feel like I've done something (my body has been craving 'bad' food this week, so feel like I've become a couch potato).

Here's hoping for a return to full health in the very near future.
