Coping with Jet Lag...

So with just one week to go until i head out to Auckland, i have decided to get to work now on reducing the symptoms of jet lag that i could otherwise by suffering on race day. The prevailing advice is that it takes a day to recover for every timezone hour you cross, and with New Zealand currently 12 hours ahead of the UK, i'm clearly in trouble given that i land just 6 days before the race.

If this one hour/one day rule is to be believed, then it stands to reason that you can move your body clock an hour every day without any jet lag symptoms. I'm putting this theory to the test this week whilst at my last week of work (yes, i have a great job and an incredibly understanding boss!), by attempting to stick to the below plan:

Up to Tuesday, and so far feeling pretty good. The weekend bike rides should be interesting!
