Tour de Luscan
I will be adding this new ride to our Route Portfolio. It is a small 49 km loop but with a total of 1100m of climbing. The route starts from the centre and takes the back road through Bertren and left into Galie before taking in the first of 4 climbs the Mont de Galie. This is a tough little climb with a section of 17%. It then drops down to join the Col des Ares but descends down to Fronsac. Left towards Siradan and the newly named Col de Siradan which is a nice steady climb maxing at 6%. From Mauleon Barousse the route descends into the valley before taking a sharp left turn towards Sacoué and the Col de Mortis. This is the highest point of the tour at 871m and has some small sections of 10%. The descent is also a little steep and very bumpy so caution is required. At Sarp we head on some nice flat road to the traffic lights near to Labroquere. Heading straight over we start the short sharp climb of the Col du Burs (also newly named). This is a tough little climb topping out at 17%. The descent, again is also as steep and brings you into Barbazan very quiclkly before heading back to Luscan for the finish.

So I have done this route twice now and I will use my time from today of 2 hours 3 mins as my base time to see how I do over the winter training period. I hope to do thew route at least every two weeks depending on conditions.
