Holly's Tri mis-adventures
I'm a previously unsporty 20 something that has been trying very hard at tri for the last 6 years with minimal success! I love the sport to the extent that I helped my husband set up 'The Triathlon Shop' three years ago and have recently started working there full-time having given up a career in accountancy.

I'm lucky to be in the industry I love and often get to try out kit before it is released. When I do get to play with fun triathlon toys I tend to write a little review about my experiences. I also like to blog about my pathetic attempts to train and the fun I have in the summer racing and supporting all my friends at races.

What am I doing?!

I'm feeling nervous today.

The reason why I'm feeling nervous is because I'm doing a triathlon tomorrow (Burnham Supersprint), and I know it is going to hurt.
I'm feeling nervous that I'm going to fail to get through the run or even worse, struggle to even get to the run because of the still present after-effects of a long chest infection.
I'm feeling nervous that I have not run more than 1km for half a year, and I know it is going to leave me with a limp for a few days. I also havent ridden a bike or swam for a month due to the aforementioned lung-lurgy.
Most of all I'm feeling nervous that I'm going to set back my recovery from injury by doing this race.

On the bright side, according to the start list I am going to podium in my age group (only 2 entered!!) I guess the other side of that is that I'm likely to be last in my age group which is not so positive.

Race report to follow. Wish me luck!

I hear it all went well! Silver medal too ;) Well done, and hopefully a good start for the rest of the year.
