Hi there. My son is really interested in having a go at a Junior triathlon next year - he is a good runner (cross country), a fair swimmer, and a typical boy-racer on his bike! - can anyone recommend any clubs either West /North Devon or North Cornwall for Juniors? or come up with any suggestions to get him started? I am a strong swimmer and biker but running is not my strong point, so am struggling a bit. Many thanks for any ideas.

Have a look on the triathlon england website ( http://www.britishtriathlon.org/triathlonengland/) They have a club directory and contact information under the 'Clubs' section.

If your son is going to be competing, registering with Triathlon England may be useful for insurance and reduced entry fees in most approved events.

Hi Big Momma

There is a new junior club starting up in North Devon called Tarka Tri. I think it is based near Braunton. Contact Will Newton (coach@willnewton.com) for more details. Will is involved in the club and is a great coach so hopefully your son will be able to go along and enjoy his triathlon.
