Compression socks to the office

IMnadineby IMnadineNov 26th 2009
Yes, I wore my compression socks to work today! I had to. I did my long run this morning. It was either run long today or a shorter run on Saturday. I have only 8 weeks left for my marathon, skipping wasn´t a good idea. My sons piñata is on Saturday morning! He is turnng 3,what 3 wonderful years!

Started at 4am to be able to get my run in on time and make it to the office. I won´t say "never again" to long runs before work. But I can say it will definitely have to be a major event in order for me to do this again. My compressions socks really recover my calves and feet. If I had a compression tight I would be wearing it! I felt a bit tired and achy at the office.

The run was amazing! Not too many lights on the buildings and houses around. The lack of light made it easier to really apreciate the sky. It was clear, beautiful and very windy, which made for a cooler run. :) I had an amazing date with the pavement. With 2km left I thought of Rocky climbing up the stairs in one of his movies and raising his arms. Yes I did raise my arms, and started fooling around with the Rocky Tune. LOL. I must´ve looked crazy to the seeing eye!

Usually after my long runs on the weekend I get to relax for a little, NOT TODAY! I am feeling mentally very strong! Looking forward to spending time with my family for a great thanksgiving dinner.
