two cows left grazing!

Went for a cycle with the herd today. Started off from my house in breaking light, got stopped by daddy Liuwe on the road cause I'd no lights on. After a lecture I was decorated from head to toe in neon lights. Arrived at Daves house and met everyone....... except Dave..... he slept without. But fair play he threw himself together(by jingo hes tough without his makeup on) and came with no breakfast in him.

Started off grand with the herd - cruised through Rush, Skerries, Blackhills(overtaken by 600 swords cycling show offs), Balrothery, Naul. At the top of the Naul Hill Caroline was nowhere to be seen so being the 'amazing' friend that I am I waited. A while later I see her coming up the hill - on foot! Chain had come off the bike and when she fixed it she couldnt get going on the hill again. A quick toilet break and we were off again, but knowin we'd never catch the bulls again unless they got a puncture. I knew the race was over when I got a puncture around the next corner... sssssssssssssssss. Two bimbos in distress! I swallowed my pride and phoned Prince Patrick to come and rescue us. He arrived in A-team van with 3 scarcely dressed, matted haired children and NO tubes. I was determined to keep going so we packed up the van with the bikes and headed to Richies Bikes in Swords to get puncture mended. they also fixed Carolines chain. Off we headed back to the spot we left and started again.

We did complete the Herd's route! 75k in total. The legs were fairly tired after! Here's to next week with the herd - with no hiccups.

Time for Pizza and Beer now..... Cheers!

Hi Lisa Boardman here. I've been cycling for a fair few years now and have been doing triathlons for 3 years. I joined Fingal Tri last year and it has been a great way of meeting like minded people because most friends/family just think us triathletes are off the wall. I'm not really into competing to win, more for the enjoyment of three disciplines and the craic! I train mostly with BFF Caroline which is perfect cause we are free the same hours for training and are pretty much the same level of fitness. She also is great for entertainment! And NO she's not my sister/twin and defo not me! Very proud to won best female sprint time and olympic time in Fingal Tri for 2010.

I'm sure the blog will be hit and miss when it is updated. I think I prefer facebook!
