7.5 mile run, taichi

Just finished "Born to Run" by Christopher McDougall, its a very good read for anyone interested in running, human limitation, and even some human evolution theory as well as anthropology. Some good points about running but don't agree with barefoot running 100%. It is important to focus on form but I used a minimal shoe and developed plantar fasciitis and my current Asic training shoe I've had no problems running 23 miles straight in them. Regardless I was inspired to run after reading about some of the races in the book and decided to do 7.5 mile run around forest park, and per book and personal training philosophy, I ran without keeping really accurate time. Just listened to body and if I felt like I could run bit faster I did, think it helped as I ran 7.5 miles in about 1 hour 10mins. Straight to taichi for quick core workout and practice, again inspired by book characters from book especially Scott Jurek I went with much more positive and relaxed attitude rather than my personal kendo tough attitude. Need to bike some time this week!
