First update in about 2 months, trained a lot, raced a lot! (Fractured a rib too!)Wow thanks to commentor yesterday reminding of this blog but due to work and martial arts testing I've neglected to update this in LONG time! Tested and ranked up in Tang soo do and tai chi, ran a marathon in 4:38, ran a 5k in under 25 minutes, and continued my training. Marathon was probably hardest thing I've done yet and for some reason, they put all the hills in St. Louis in the 26.5 (According to mapmyrun.com) miles into the run and I ran out too hard for the 1st twelve miles when I passed time check at 1:42. Noticed my cycling thanks to my running is faster as my average cadence can be kept around 80-90 and average speed on flat no wind is around 20-22mph though I'm able to sprint to about ~30mph. Week before Tang Soo Do testing my rib was fractured from amazing side kick from Master Beardsley though I was able to test well otherwise. Now about a month later it feels a lot better though its still sore and more worried about my aikido test memorial weekend and 70.3 ironman in about a month. Also on somewhat interesting not frustrated pool was closed 5/12 and forgot my running shoes so went for impromptu 9 mile run barefoot, interesting experience! This week family time and my brother's graduation but tomorrow will start training hard again!
