Short swim and TSD

Did short swim of 200IM fly, back, breast, and free then 200IM of kicks with main set alternating between 2x 100m kick and 100m pull with 100 free cool down. Hip flexors felt ok until I did back stroke and man its been a LONG time since I've had new muscle group being so sore. (Maybe back when I SEALfit 5-6 times a week 2 years ago) Went into TSD and despite my hips being on fire almost the entire time I've found that my time in kendo and being constantly pushed into uncomfortable situations and harder and harder physical training I was able to somehow power through. Though I must say my hips now are SO sore and hoping that they'll clear up by tomorrow for 8 mile run.
