I think training and overseas working don't go together. You end up rushing to get on the treadmill, then there are none available. You do your session and you don't really have enough time to stretch....

Anyway, in absence of treadmill training I have made sure I run up all flights of stairs on the tube and we hired some bikes on Saturday and cycled up to a monastery on top of a hill on an island about an hour and half out of Istanbul by boat. The hill got up to over 20% in places, and was a cobbled street. Made it to the top, and tried to keep the gears in roughly the same ratio as the my road bike.

Missed the third Tewksbury Aquathlon this weekend, final round is in a month so I will see how I go in that. Hopefully, I can still knock off some time with the dip in training the last couple of weeks. it could work out that this is actually a nice break from training for my body to repair itself a little before the training camp next week, which will kick me back into a good training routine when back in the UK.

Oh yes, I also hope the bruises on my shoulders go down before next week - I had a Turkish Bath last night - felt so relaxed by how I have no idea, you get a good pumelling.
