So, I am a swimmer turned triathlete!

Swimming is obviously ok, biking not too bad but needs some strength work, running is my kryptonite!

So I am committed....

I have now committed and entered the Edinburgh Marathon, scary potatoes!

I have already started the training for this which is about to start ramping up. I now have no more events to worry about and only running to concentrate on. This week is building the time, with easy runs. Next week starts some intervals.

I am sure this will very quickly sink in as I get closer to the event next May.

I did it this year, it's a great event and a decent course, hope the weather won't be as hot for you as it was for me...also this year some pikeys pinched 30,000 bottles of water and 5,000 gels on the morning of the race, leaving barely any water for the last 3 miles. But it was a great race and I set a PB which was also nice...mind you the cheesey 80's music at the finish line unfortunately was stuck in my head for the rest of the day, oh and one of the first things they offer you as you cross the finish line is half a pint of ale, you'll definitely deserve it.

good luck with the training
