My Nutrition, Fitness & Triathlon Principles
I don't compete and just do it for fun - at least that is what I tell people.

Triathlons provide me with goals throughout the year that help me maintain my fitness and motivate me to eat well and stay in shape for as long as I can. Also I have realized that the energy I gain from triathlons helps me excel in my professional and personal life which is an extra bonus.

2014 was my second year of Triathlon. Started off with a satisfying result of 2:44 at the ITU World Triathlon London in May. At the London triathlon I completed the bike segment at an amazing 1:06 - run and swim was a bit slower. Another great result at the the ICC time trial coming in 3rd at 26:48 for 10 mile TT. Unfortunately the season ended with a stupid crash, nasty fracture, hospital, operation and 6+ month recovery. However this was probably a wake up call that I need to take it a bit easier in 2015. Will be focusing more on recovery and getting back in to Triathlon shape. More about my 2015 plan in my next blog entry.
