Ay'm a Laydee on M'bye Cee Clay![]() Tonight I headed to Castle Combe race track to join the underground world of the cyclist. If you're in the know: you enter a (not so) hidden gateway; and with a secret handshake, a nod, and a quid later - the race course is an open play area: with nordic skaters, GB cyclists, tri clubbists, bike clubbers, parents with kids, kids on trikes and a big bloke on a Brompton fold-me-up all vying for a piece of tarmac. What fun! The Tri gang were friendly and helpful in equal amounts again and I was able to go at my own pace, pushing m'self when I wanted to, and stopping when I'd had enough. Nice. Not so nice was the headwind and hail that rained down from the heavens. Hay Ho. 11 miles did. A fairly plod-tastic 15 mph average and a max of 22mph. Whoosh! Another bonus - apart from suprising myself and actually enjoying it.. was the drive through Tiddleywink. Fab!! X-Biking @ lunchtime tomorrow, and then I'm putting down m'halo tomorrow night to attend a debaucherous poker party with actual cash-money involved. Wish me luck!
